Lesson Plans
Below I have placed a few lesson plans that I have created over the past several years. Please click on the link to open the lesson.
An American History lesson in which students role play as various voting blocks to determine whether or not Lincoln "had" to be elected in 1860.
A World History lesson in which students learn the characteristics of the eight stages of genocide by examining the Jewish Holocaust of World War II and then analyzing a different modern or historical event in order to determine whether or not genocide occurred/is occurring. In both cases, students are asked to identify what could be done at each step to stop the progression to the following step.
An American History lesson in which students examine various events during Jackson's presidency in order to write a supported opinion whether he was "King Andrew" or "The People's President",
An American History lesson in which students complete an academic "scavenger hunt" using posters, photos, propaganda, texts, and poetry as a "breadth and depth" activity for World War I.
